IFTAR WITH MALAYSIAN COMMUNITY IN MUMBAI

The Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah and the Chairman of PERWAKILAN Mumbai, Zuhaila Abdul Latif hosted an Iftar and Tarawih prayers on 29 August 2009.

Over 50 muslim Malaysians attended the event which was held at the Official Residence of the Consul General. The Iftar started at 7.00 pm local time and was followed by Maghrib prayers and Dinner. After Isyak, Tarawih prayers were performed  and were led by the Immigration Consul,  Haji Abdul Rahim. The Consul General also presented a farewell momento to Haji Abdul Rahim as he had been transfered to head the Immigration Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 1st September 2009.

Various Malaysian sweets and dishes were served at the this simple but lively Iftar.
