LOW-KEY CELEBRATION OF EIDUL ADHA IN MUMBAI
Eidul Adha was celebrated across Mumbai in a quiet and low key manner in the wake of the recent terror attacks. The Malaysian muslim community gathered at the residence of the Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai on 9 December 2008 to perform eid prayers and to listen to khutbah.
About 40 Malaysians were present, joining takbir and prayers led by Tuan Haji Abdul Rahim Mahmood. The khutbah was delivered by the Consul General, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah.
At the completion of the Eid prayers and khutbah, a recitation of tahlil and Doa selamat were conducted to wish for the safety and security to all Malaysians in Mumbai.
