MAHARASHTRA CHIEF MINISTER HOSTED HIGH TEA RECEPTION FOR CONSULS GENERAL IN MUMBAI
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Vilasrao Deshmukh hosted a high tea reception and received Consuls General of foreign countries in Mumbai on 10 November 2008. The reception was held at the State government guest house "Shaayadri" in the Mumbai city.
The reception was held to allow Consuls General of foreign countries to have interactions with the Chief Minister notwithstanding the difficulty for the Chief Minister to schedule meetings with individual Consul generals.
On the same day, Consuls General on foreign countries in Mumbai also met the Chief Minister of the State of Gujarat, Hon. Narendra Modi who delivered his keynote address in an interactive session aimed at publicising the Vibrat Gujarat: Global Investors' Summit 2009 which will be held in the State in January next year. The Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah was present in both events.
