The Hon. Dato' Seri Utama S. Samy Vellu on 17 November 2015 embarked on one-day visit to State of Maharashtra where he held a meeting with Honourable Chief Minister for investment opportunities in the state. He was accompanied by Mr. Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Consul General, officials from Prime Minister office.
It was a constructive meeting, conducted in a cordial atmosphere. Specifically when the Honourable Chief Minister pledged that the State of Maharashtra supported the proposal and agree to work closely with Malaysia in conducting the various projects in not only in State of Maharashtra but also other states for the benefit of mutual interest.
During the visit, The Hon. Dato' Seri Utama also had a discussion with Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop on how to further promote and help boost up the billateral cooperation between Malaysia and India from a business perspective.
