The 3rd International Malaysia-Ireland Joint Symposium on Engineering was held at the Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), Ireland from 11-13 June 2013. It was jointly organised by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and the AIT.
His Excellency Dato’ Ramli Naam, Ambassador of Malaysia attended the opening ceremony of the symposium. The AIT President, Prof. Ciaran O’ Cathain was also present. UniMAP was represented by Brig Jen Dato’ Prof Dr Kamarudin Hussain, Vice Chancellor.
A total of 36 working papers were presented in the seminar entitled ‘Harnessing Research Capabilities for Innovation’. The symposium is an annual event and being hosted alternately between the AIT and UniMAP.
