Ambassador delivers Malaysia's statement at the UN First Committee's Thematic Debate on Conventional Weapons

Ambassador delivered Malaysia's statement at the UN First Committee's Thematic Debate on Conventional Weapons held in New York earlier today. Malaysia among others reiterated the urgency of combatting the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons. Ambassador also expressed Malaysia’s readiness to working closely with members of the international community in strengthening the protection of civilians from humanitarian consequences arising from the use of explosive weapons in populated areas.
