The Annual Ecumenical Ceremony of Remembrance and Wreath Laying was held at the Irish National War Memorial Gardens in Dublin on 7 July 2012. The event organised by the Royal British Legion Ireland was to commemorate the servicemen who sacrificed their lives during the First World War.
About 300 people attended the ceremony including the Irish Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Mrs. Frances Fitzgerald, Lord Mayor of Dublin, Lord Mayor of Belfast, representatives from the Embassies in Dublin, armed forces and ex-servicemen. Ms. Zurina Ahmad Tejuddin, First Secretary of the Malaysian Embassy laid a wreath on behalf of the Government of Malaysia.
