Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Ceann Comhairle (Speaker of the Lower House of Ireland) Her Excellency Verona Murphy TD at the Houses of the Oireachtas (Parliament) earlier today. Both discussed issues of mutual interest, including the proposed establishment of Malaysia-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Group. Ambassador also extended the open invitation by YDP Speaker Dewan Rakyat for H.E. Murphy to undertake an official visit to Malaysia.
