COURTESY CALL ON DIRECTOR GENERAL OF IRISH AID

Ambassador Raja Dato’ Nazrin Aznam, accompanied by Mr. Sofian A. Karim, First Secretary of the Embassy, called on Mr. Brendan Rogers, Director General of Irish Aid on 22 May 2009.  Irish Aid is Ireland’s programme of assistance to developing countries as part of its foreign policy objectives.  Apart from exchanging ideas on development assistance programmes by Malaysia and Ireland, a number of issues were discussed during the meeting including the current state of the global economy and Malaysia’s experience during the 1997-98 Asian financial crisis.
