Her Excellency Ambassador Siti Hajjar Adnin called on H.E. Mr. Niall Burgess, Secretary-General, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland on 12 April 2017. The call was made at the request of Ambassador Siti Hajjar following her presentation of credentials to H.E. Michael Higgins, President of Ireland on 7 April 2017.
The courtesy call was held in a friendly and cordial manner where both Mr. Burgess and Ambassador Siti Hajjar were at ease throughout the call. Among the issues that were discussed are education cooperation, Brexit and UN candidatures. Both sides agreed that more efforts should be made to deepen the cooperation between both countries and encourage more exchange of visits in the future.
