Dublin Biennial 2012 – International Contemporary Art Exhibition was held from 15 to 24 June 2012 at Sol Art Gallery, Point Village Dublin. The participants of the exhibition includes 55 artists from 20 countries including Malaysia, Ireland, Austria, Armenia, Brazil, China, Denmark, Iran, Russia, Switzerland and the USA. A peace activist, Yoko Ono also participated in the exhibition with her Wish Tree for Ireland, part of her current international project to collect a million wishes from around the world.
The exhibition was officiated by the Lord of Mayor of Dublin Cllr. Andrew Montague on 16 June 2012. H.E. Dato Ramli Naam, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition to show support for our very own Malaysian artist Mr. Suhaimi Fadzir. Mr. Suhaimi artworks 'What is the meaning of Independence: Indigenous Migrants Colonial' 2010-2012 won the Award of Excellence of Dublin Biennial 2012.
