A Malaysian student, Mr. Junean Tham, the winner of the Ninth Dublin Literary Award for Young Malaysians essay writing competition was celebrated at the gala ceremony of the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2012 held in Dublin, Ireland on 13 June 2012.
The annual essay writing competition was organised by the Irish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture of Malaysia, the National Library of Malaysia and The Star.
Mr. Junean was congratulated by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr. Andrew Montague for his achievement during the ceremony. Also presence during the ceremony was Ms. Zurina Ahmad Tejuddin, First Secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia.
