At the invitation of the Indonesian Students' Association (ISA) in Ireland, Ambassador attended the Halalbilhalal gathering event at the Clontarft Cricket Club in Dublin earlier today. The event, jointly organised by ISA and Irish Indonesian Association, Indonesian Muslim Study and Preaching Forum in Ireland, Indonesian Christian Community in Ireland, Indonesian Professionals' Association Ireland and Perempuan Berkebaya Indonesia, was a traditional annual event held to bring together all Indonesians and friends of Indonesia in Ireland to celebrate Eid Fitri.
Ambassador took the opportunity during his presence at the event to engage various Indonesian as well as other ASEAN community leaders' diaspora groups on issues of mutual interests, especially potential collaboration to promote ASEAN in Ireland. The Embassy remain committed to fostering people-to-people connectivity and enhancing ASEAN solidarity in Ireland.
The theme of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 is ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’. It reflects our aspiration for a truly shared progress, ensuring that no one is left behind. It also underscores our conviction that ASEAN is committed towards strengthening regional peace, stability and prosperity within an inclusive, sustainable and future-oriented framework.
