On 16 February 2010, Ambassador Raja Dato’ Nazrin and Mr. Sofian A. Karim, First Secretary of the Embassy held a meeting with Commissioner Fachtna Murphy and Assistant Commissioner (Dublin Metropolitan Region) Michael Feehan of An Garda Síochana (Irish Police) at the Garda HQ in Phoenix Park. Commissioner Murphy is the head of the Irish police force. During the one-hour meeting, the Embassy and An Garda Síochana discussed a number of issues relating to the safety and welfare of Malaysian citizens in Ireland. At the end of meeting, the Embassy and An Garda Síochana pledged to strengthen the good working relationship which existed between the two sides.
