The Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin and TalentCorp jointly organised a Networking Dinner with Malaysian Professionals in Ireland on 22 June 2012 at Westbury Hotel, Dublin. The event was attended by more than 50 Malaysian professionals mainly from medical and accounting backgrounds.
Malaysian Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Dato’ Ramli Naam in his welcoming remarks, highlighted the importance of Malaysian talents to contribute to the various government’s economic transformation programme and in realising Malaysia's goal of becoming a high-income country by 2020. He further expressed his hope that Malaysian diaspora in Ireland would return to Malaysia and share their knowledge and skills gained from their work experience abroad.
Representatives from TalentCorp, Mrs. Sherene Azura Azli and Mr. Hadrian Numpang Awell briefed the participants about the Talent Roadmap 2020 that was launched in April 2012 by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak. The participants were further briefed on the various career opportunities available in Malaysia. Dato’ Dr. Jacob Thomas, Group Medical Advisor for Sime Darby Healthcare Group also updated the participants on the development of public and private health sector in Malaysia.
There was very active participation by the participants during the Q & A session at the end of the presentation.
