MALAYSIA IS REMOVED FROM DESIGNATED STATES FOR MANDATORY HOTEL QUARANTINE UPON ARRIVAL IN IRELAND
(Effective as of 27 August 2021)
- Malaysia has been removed from Ireland’s list of Designated States for Mandatory Hotel Quarantine effective from 27 August 2021.
- Travellers from Malaysia are now allowed to enter Ireland without undergoing the Mandatory Hotel Quarantine.
- The travel requirements for travellers which are still in place are as follows:
- complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form at : https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/ab900-covid-19-passenger-locator-form/ ; and
- provide evidence that you have a negative or ‘not detected’ result from a COVID-19 RT-PCR test carried out no more than 72 hours before you arrive in Ireland, or have evidence that you are exempt from this legal requirement
- Fully vaccinated travellers are advised to carry their vaccination certificate (digital and print out version) to ensure a smooth process throughout their journey
