On 9 March 2012, the Student Societies Union and the Student Services Office of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (RCSI) organized the International Night 2012 at Mansion House, Dublin. The annual event celebrated diverse cultures and ethnicities within the RCSI.
The audience was entertained with colorful cultural performances by the students from the Penang Medical College Students Association, the Canadian Irish Medical Students Association, Team Middle East, Team PIBS - Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the Irish Society, and the Caribbean African Society who were contesting for the Parnell Keeling Perpetual Trophy.
Team PIBS was crowned the winner of the RCSI International Night 2012 and our very own Penang Medical College Students Association followed in second place.
Ms. Zurina Ahmad Tejuddin, First Secretary, Embassy of Malaysia and Mr. Azlan Osman, Director of MARA Office, Ireland were present at the event showing their support for the Malaysian team.
