UPDATES ON GUIDELINES TO ENTER MALAYSIA AND MANDATORY QUARANTINE PERIOD  

 

 

Reduction of Quarantine Period (effective as of 14 December 2020)

 

  • Individuals travelling to Malaysia and could provide a negative swab test result less than 72 hours (3 days) prior to departure will be allowed to undergo quarantine at a designated quarantine centre for 7 days.

 

  • Travellers who depart to Malaysia without the negative swab test result will be asked to undergo a swab test upon arrival in Malaysia. If the test result is negative, they will have to complete a maximum of 10 days quarantine period at designated quarantine centre.

 

  • Travellers will have to bear on their own all costs related to the health screening procedures imposed by the government including COVID-19 test, quarantine and hospital admission charge (if applicable).

 

 

 

Other COVID-19 restrictions and entry guidelines to Malaysia remain in place.
