VISIT BY THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HEALTH MALAYSIA TO DUBLIN, IRELAND
Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Haji Mohd Ismail Merican, Director General of Health Malaysia held a working visit to Dublin, Ireland on 17-19 February 2011. He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Health of Malaysia and Malaysian Medical Association.
During the visit, the Director General of Health Malaysia and delegation had several meetings with the officials from Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) and University College Dublin (UCD) to discuss ways of boosting existing cooperation in medical and education field.
The Director General of Health Malaysia and delegation also took the opportunity to meet with the Malaysian medical students and doctors at Malaysia Hall on 18 February, jointly organised by United Kingdom and Eire Council of Malaysian Students (UKEC) and Education Malaysia (EM). During the meeting, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Haji Mohd Ismail Merican delivered a medical talk entitled ‘Future in Your Hands’ followed by an interactive dialogue session with the audience. The gathering was also attended by Ms. Zurina Ahmad Tejuddin, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and the officers from the Embassy of Malaysia.
