CURRENT VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR CHINESE AND INDIAN CITIZENS TRAVELING TO MALAYSIA

 

Citizens of China and India will enjoy visa-free entry to Malaysia for up to 30 days, with this privilege extending until December 31, 2026. However, they must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), an online pre-arrival form that can be filled out up to three days before the scheduled arrival in Malaysia. Travelers are required to present both a valid passport and a completed MDAC to border officers for validation before proceeding through the immigration counter. VISA REQUIREMENT FOR CITIZENS OF IRELAND TRAVELLING TO MALAYSIA

 

Citizens of Ireland do not require a visa to visit Malaysia for business or social reasons. Their stay in Malaysia must not exceed 90 days. However, they must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC), an online pre-arrival form that can be filled out up to three days before the scheduled arrival in Malaysia. Travelers are required to present both a valid passport and a completed MDAC to border officers for validation before proceeding through the immigration counter. Access the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) at the following URL: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main. Please note that Irish visitors may need to present proof of sufficient funds and a return airline ticket upon arrival at the first point of entry in Malaysia. 

 

If visa is required to enter Malaysia, please submit the application through eVISA Portal using the following link : https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my/

 

Manual Application :

 

Application for the visa can be made 2 weeks prior to your departure at the Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin, Ireland.

 

Please come to the Embassy, along with your passports and the following documents:

 

     i.  Photograph (passport size)                                                      1

 

     ii. Return flight ticket / itinerary                                               2 copies

 

     iii. Letter from company                                                          2 copies

 

     iv. Passport page with photo                                                   2 copies

 

      v. Passport page with latest working visa/stamp by Garda    2 copies

 

      vi. Irish Residence Permit (front & back)                                2 copies 

 

      vii. Bank statement (last 3 months)                                        2 copies

 

Fees for each application is EUR 15.00.
