Attestation of Educational Documents: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Initial Endorsement in Malaysia
All original educational certificates and documents issued by Malaysian or local institutions must first be certified by the appropriate Malaysian authority. This includes:
· Ministry of Education Malaysia; or
· Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia; or
· Respective State Department of Education.
The certification must clearly include the name and position of the official, along with the department’s official stamp.
Step 2: Attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia (Wisma Putra)
Once certified by the relevant authority, the documents must be submitted to:

Step 3: Endorsement by the Embassy of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur
After attestation by Wisma Putra, submit the documents to the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur for further endorsement.

Step 4: Final Attestation by the Embassy of Malaysia in Baghdad
The Embassy of Malaysia in Baghdad can provide final attestation of the original documents only after all previous steps have been completed.
Fees:
The attestation fee is IQD7,00/ per page, payable in cash to the Embassy of Malaysia in Baghdad.
Important Notes:
- Please note that an appointment is compulsory for the attestation of document's application. Kindly email mwbaghdad@kln.gov.my to schedule an appointment.
- Processing time is typically 3-5 working days after the complete submission of all required documents.
- Incomplete submissions or failure to comply with the above-mentioned requirements may result in delays, for which the Embassy cannot be held responsible.
