Petronas Iraq conducted a briefing for Embassy officials today at its office in Baghdad. The session was delivered by Mr. Mohd Bohari Mohd Ali, Petronas Country Chairman.
The briefing focused primarily on Petronas’ operations in the southern region of Iraq, including its ongoing projects, operational priorities and strategic objectives. Mr. Bohari also outlined the range of activities undertaken by Petronas throughout 2025, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges faced during the year. In addition, the session touched on Petronas’ engagement with local stakeholders, coordination with Iraqi authorities, and its contributions to capacity-building and socio-economic development in areas of operation.
The briefing concluded with an exchange of views between Petronas representatives and Embassy officials on the operating environment, future prospects and areas for continued cooperation and engagement.
