On 17 February 2026, H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya, led a community outreach programme at Onyege Secondary School in Western Kenya, as part of efforts to support underprivileged communities and strengthen people-to-people ties between Malaysia and Kenya. The small school faces serious challenges due to limited facilities and support. A total of 10 bicycles, 40 sets of solar lamps, stationery sets, and reusable sanitary pads for female students were donated to improve access to education, learning conditions, and gender inclusivity. The High Commissioner also delivered motivational remarks highlighting the importance of education and shared information about Malaysia, generating interest among students and teachers.
