On Saturday, 16 November 2024, H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya, hosted a special dinner for AirAsia delegation led by Datuk Kamarudin Meranun to commemorate a historic milestone: the inaugural direct flight of AirAsia X from Kuala Lumpur to Nairobi. The dinner was attended by about 100 invitees which include Ambassadors and diplomats of ASEAN countries, officials from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, AirAsia top management and flight crew of the inaugural flight, businessmen and media representatives.
This remarkable development marks a significant step in strengthening the ties between Malaysia and Kenya, enhancing connectivity, tourism, investment and business opportunities between Malaysia and Kenya.
