On Friday, 27 February 2026, the High Commission of Malaysia in Kenya hosted a special reception combining the celebration of Chinese New Year (CNY) and Majlis Berbuka Puasa (Iftar), hosted by H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya.
The reception was attended by approximately 80 guests, comprising members of the Malaysian community and invited guests. Attendees were treated to a variety of traditional Malay and Chinese dishes commonly served during the Chinese New Year festivities and the breaking of fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event provided a meaningful platform for guests to interact and engage with one another in a warm and cheerful atmosphere, fostering closer relationships and strengthening bonds within the Malaysian community. It also served to enhance the invited Malaysians sense of belonging, love for the country, and spirit of nationalism, reflecting Malaysia’s multicultural harmony and shared values.
