Dear All,

Malaysians and eligible foreign travellers to Malaysia are required to comply with the following updated entry regulations:

1. They have to undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine at government-designated quarantine facilities. The cost of the quarantine per person is RM150 per day.

2. The quarantine location will be hotels designated by the Ministry of Health Malaysia

3. Only those who carry the “Orang Kelainan Upaya” (OKU) card issued by the Department of Social Welfare of Malaysia are exempted from paying for the quarantine.

4. Travellers are required to fill in the Letter of Undertaking (LOU) (https://www.dropbox.com/s/uik3vovjle59phu/4b%20LETTER%20OF%20UNDERTAKING%20AND%20INDEMNITY.pdf?dl=0) and email it to the High Commission of Malaysia in Nairobi, Kenya (mwnairobi@kln.gov.my  - please ensure your email is less than 2MB). The High Commission will then issue a travel clearance letter for the traveller to present to the airlines / airport authorities / immigration authorities (as applicable).

5. Travellers are required to download and activate the MySejahtera App (https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/intro_en/) one day before entry into Malaysia.

6. The Covid-19 PCR / swab test is no longer required for Malaysians and eligible foreign travellers before they enter Malaysia. They will be subject to Covid-19 testing upon arrival in Malaysia. Travellers should also check with their airlines whether airlines policy require them to undergo Covid-19 tests prior to boarding.
