NEW HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF KENYA

H.E.  Loh Seck Tiong, newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Republic of Kenya presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E.  Uhuru Kenyatta, at the State House on 26 September 2017. Also presenting their Credentials were nine other Ambassadors and High Commissioners. Loh arrived in Nairobi on 19 September 2017 to assume the new appointment.

 

In his statement during the Presentation of Credentials, the High Commissioner conveyed the DYMM Yang Di-Pertuan Agong’s warmest felicitations and best wishes to the President and the people of Kenya. The High Commissioner expressed his hope that the bilateral relations between both countries would further develop during his tenure in Kenya.

The President, in his response, indicated that he was pleased with the good and warm bilateral relations between Kenya and Malaysia.

 

After the presentation, the President introduced the High Commissioner of Malaysia to senior officials of the government including Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ms. Monica Juma.

 

President Kenyatta later joined the Ambassadors and High Commissioners for a group photo session after the presentation ceremony.

 

Loh, who joined the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988 had served in various diplomatic ranks at the Malaysian Missions in Bangkok, Dhaka, Tokyo, New York and Sarajevo prior to his current appointment.

 

He is married to Madam You Siew Sze and they have one son.
