Programme to create awareness on menstruation hygiene and education
The High Commission of Malaysia in collaboration with Together for Better Foundation reached out to Pumwani Child Survival and Malezi Bora Primary Schools in Majengo, in helping to create awareness on menstruation hygiene and education.
The programme was aimed to contribute to SDG no. 4 on quality education by working towards breaking the stigma on conversation about menstruation. Over 1 million primary school children in Kenya are unable to attend school due to lack of access to menstruation hygiene tools and education. The High Commission donated the reusable menstruation kits to the girls, which can last them for two years and environmental friendly.
