12^TH EXPORT CONGRESS ORGANISED BY CONCAEM AND AJR FOREIGN TRADE CONSULTANT

On 4^th April, H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico attended the 12^th Export Congress as a VIP guest together with H.E. Ambassador of Bolivia and H.E. Ambassador of Georgia. The Congress was organised by the Council of Chambers and Business Association from the State of Mexico (CONCAEM) in collaboration with AJR Foreign Trade Business Consultant which attracted participation from more than 1,200 participants from the State of Mexico, Queretaro, Puebla, San Luis Potosi and Mexico City. The Congress was inaugurated by Mr. Jose Luis Velasco Lino from Secretary of Economy, State of Mexico.

The 2-day Congress was held at Radisson Hotel Toluca, State of Mexico with its main objective to disseminating information to Mexican companies on issues related to international trade as well as to providing the tools for companies to export successfully. The President of CONCAEM in her speech highlighted that Mexican companies should start to look for export markets beyond the Americas region and diversify their export markets in Asia, Europe and Middle East. Amongst some of the Asian countries mentioned were Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and South Korea. CONCAEM and AJR are scheduled to mount a trade mission to Asia with a scheduled visit to Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore in October 2017.  During the Congress, the Ambassador was also interviewed by the local electronic and print media on trade relations between Malaysia-Mexico.
