ANNUAL VISIT FOR DIPLOMATIC CORPS HOSTED BY THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS MEXICO
TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA, 16 -18 OCTOBER 2015
HE Claudia Ruiz Massieu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mexico hosted her Ministry`s annual visit this year to Tijuana, Baja California from 16 to 18 October 2015 for the Heads of Mission resident in Mexico and their spouses with the aim to enhance the diplomatic relations and networking between her Ministry and the diplomatic corps. It was also aimed at showcasing part of Mexico to the foreign envoys. Majority of the Heads of Mission and their spouses participated in the visit.
HE Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan and Madame Amelia Azhar took part in the visit. The visit program included a visit to the International Airport Tijuana, SAMSUNG plant, wine museum and a briefing on `Background in the border of Mexico`. The Governor of Baja California, HE Mr. Mons Christopher Pierre and HE Massieu jointly hosted a dinner in honour of the diplomatic corps.
On the second night, the ASEAN Ambassador – Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam were given the honour at the main table during the dinner hosted by HE Massieu.
All in all, the visit was a success and met its objectives.
