ASEAN COMMITTEE IN MEXICO CITY (ACMC) AMBASSADORS
FIRST MEETING IN 2017
On 19th April, ASEAN Committee in Mexico City (ACMC) had its first Ambassadors Meeting for 2017 at the Ambassador of Indonesia`s Residence as the chair of ACMC. It has been a practice for ACMC to have regular Working Group Officers level meeting followed by Ambassadors meeting. The 5 ASEAN Ambassadors based in Mexico City - Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam with their respective officers were present.
With a common view of making ASEAN more visible in Mexico, the Ambassadors reviewed previous activities conducted and strategized for upcoming activities. They also took the opportunity to congratulate the new Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, H.E. Ms. Rommanee Kananurak who arrived on 17 March 2017 and presented her Letters of Credence to H.E. Enrique Pena Neito, President of Mexico on 11 April 2017. After the meeting, scrumptious Indonesian lunch was served.
