On 7th April, around 250 ASEAN nationals from five countries namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam celebrated a family-day cum the Songkran Festival at the residence of Thailand.
The event was well attended not only by all the ASEAN’s Ambassadors and ASEAN´s nationals in Mexico City, it was also attended by Ambassadors from Bangladesh, Japan, Pakistan and their family.
This event had strengthened the relations among the busy ASEAN nationals in Mexico City. Participants enjoyed games that each country introduced and organized. As for Malaysia, participants include staff and family of the Embassy, PETRONAS and DXN (Mexico) Malaysia.
After the formalities and the games, guests were treated to a scrumptious lunch menu from the five ASEAN countries. Malaysia served its famous Nasi Lemak Ayam prepared by PERWAKILAN and PETRONAS - accompanied by other authentic Malaysian cuisines. Credit also goes to DXN (Mexico) Malaysia for sponsoring prizes for Malaysia´s game of traditional triathlon.
