Mr. Hardi Hamdin, Charge d'affairs a.i and HBS of the Embassy joined other esteemed ASEAN diplomats in commemorating the ASEAN Day celebration held at the Embassy of Indonesia in Mexico City. The event highlighted the unity and cooperation among ASEAN member countries, fostering stronger diplomatic ties and regional collaboration.
ASEAN Day commemorates the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on August 8, 1967. This day celebrates the unity, diversity, and cooperation among the ten member states: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia. It is an occasion to reflect on the progress and achievements of ASEAN in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, as well as to strengthen the bonds between ASEAN and its global partners.
