ASEAN FUTURE FORUM

Prior to delivering the Keynote Address at the ASEAN Future Forum, Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim had a breakfast meeting with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, H.E. Pham Minh Chinh.
During the meeting, the two Prime Ministers discussed on a wide range of bilateral and regional issues. Both Prime Ministers agreed to intensify joint infrastructure development in the offshore energy sector and to initiate a formal agreement on food security, with a strong emphasis on enhancing trade in agro-commodities and fisheries.
Both Leaders also shared a common vision of boosting collaboration in emerging fields related to artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The meeting also discussed on a broad spectrum of global challenges currently faced in the region due to the evolving economic trends. In this regard, both Leaders urged for a united position among countries to maintain peace and prosperity in the region.
