BREAKFAST MEETING WITH MTRO. JOSÉ EDUARDO CALZADA ROVIROSA, MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE (SAGARPA) MEXICO
On 28 September 2016, COPARMEX Mexico City Chapter, with the presence of H.E. Mtro. José Eduardo Calzada Rovirosa, Minister of Agriculture Mexico, held an informative meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mexico City. The purpose was to inform the audience about the latest achievements of SAGARPA, as well as to brief about the important role local companies play in nation building. Founded in 1998, COPARMEX is an organization of Mexican entrepreneurs representing their legitimate interests. H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico was invited as one of the special guests.
The meeting hosted around 100 people, where the following topics were raised - agro-development; commitments of youths in rural areas; old agriculture methods (chinampas); development of corn in Mexico and its importance for Mexico’s agricultural progress in the next 50 years.
