On 14 September 2017, H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico received a courtesy call by Dr. Alfredo Chinchilla Godoy, Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Guatemala. Apart from touching base, both sides discussed ways to improve and promote relations between Malaysia – Guatemala particularly in the palm oil industry.
He also took the opportunity to sign the condolence book on the demise of Almarhum Sultan Kedah and the former King of Malaysia.
