Madame Ireri Rivera García, Secretary of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship of Morelia, Michoacan called on H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan at the Chancery on 15 June 2016. She was accompanied by Ms. Mayra Gallardo Mercado, Head of the Department of Promotion; and Mr. José Horacio Gonzalez Velazco, Director of Investment Attraction. Also present during the call was Mr. Mohd Hafiz, Trade Commissioner and Ms. Bieyka Jimenez Quezada, Marketing Officer, MATRADE Mexico City.
The aim of the call was to promote Morelia in the sector of agro-industry, education, health-tourism, film industry and information technology. Michoacán is one of the leading states in Mexico for the export of avocados and berries for the principal market of the U.S. Situated in the Guayangareo Valley, Morelia is the capital city of Michoacán State in the central part of Mexico.
