COURTESY CALL ON H.E. AMBASSADOR BY MR. RICARDO ARAGON, PRESIDENT OF THE MEXICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INVESTMENT OF THE NEW SILK ROAD
On 6th June, Mr. Ricardo Aragon, President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Investment of the New Silk Road accompanied by Mr. David Enriquez called on H.E. Mr. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico at the Chancery. Present also was Mr. Mohd. Hafiz Abdul Jalil, Trade Commissioner, MATRADE Mexico City.
The purpose of the call was to debrief the Ambassador on the progress of setting up of the Mexico Halal Institute in collaboration with UNIRAZAK Consortium and discuss on getting the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA), Mexico in establishing the institute as well as to explore opportunities in the Halal and Agri-business sectors between both countries. Apart from that, Mr. Aragon also briefed the Ambassador on the possibility of promoting the Sukuk Islamic bond to the Ministry of Finance, Mexico with a view of enhancing trade and investment between Malaysia and Mexico.
