COURTESY CALL ON MINISTER OF ENERGY, MEXICO
On 29 September 2016, H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan paid a courtesy call on H.E. Lic. Pedro Joaquin Coldwell, Minister of Energy, Mexico at the latter`s office.
Present at the call were Mr. Khornelisman Jasri, Second Secretary; Ms. Rosanety Barrios Beltran, Head of the Policy of Industrial Transformation Unit of the Undersecretariat for Hydrocarbons; Mr. Gabriel Heller Green, Director General of Relations with Investors and Promotion; Ms. Carmen Lopez Bacalari, Interpreter and Ms. Irma Karina Lopez Sanchez, Deputy Director of North America, Europe and Asia.
During the half an hour call, the Ambassador shared with the Minister about Malaysia´s initiatives in green energy and renewable energy under its Transformation Program as well as possible collaboration between Malaysia and Mexico in the energy sector particularly oil and gas industry. The Ambassador also invited Mexico to capacity building program under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). As part of Mexico`s energy reform, the Minister acknowledged and welcomed Malaysia`s interest through PETRONAS`s participation in Mexico`s oil and gas tender in July 2015 and the deep water tender in December 2016.
