COURTESY MEETING BY THE MEXICAN NATIONAL CHAMBER OF TRANSFORMATION INDUSTRY (CANACINTRA) ON 19 JANUARY 2016
· On 19th January 2016, Mr. Julio Rodriguez, Vice President of National Foreign Trade and International Affairs and Ms. Michelle Cervantes, Director of International Affairs from the Mexican National Chamber of Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA) had a courtesy meeting with H.E Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan together with Mr. Mohd Hafiz Abdul Jalil, Trade Commissioner and Ms. Bieyka Jimenez, Marketing Officer of MATRADE Mexico City.
· CANACINTRA was established on December 1941 and the Chamber had been established for more than 60 years. Currently the Chamber has more than thirteen thousand members from various industry sectors such as Food, Beverages and Tobacco, Automotive, Building Material, ICT, Chemical, Green Technology, Medical Equipments etc. CANACINTRA facilitates the development of national industry interacting with federal, state and municipal governments as well as with the legislature to raise positions for companies and they are responsible for representing the interests of industry affiliated with the government, the education sector, the science and technology sector and some areas of interest to industry committees.
· The courtesy meeting illustrates the strong bilateral relationship between Mexico and Malaysia as well as the advantage of business opportunity offered for both countries. CANACINTRA together with the Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico and MATRADE Mexico City will work together to enhance the bilateral trade between both countries and explore potential collaboration between Mexican and Malaysian companies.
