On 6th December, YB Datuk Abd Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak and Datin Zuraini Abdul Jabbar hosted a dinner reception at Holiday Inns Mexico City together with his visiting delegation. Present during the dinner were Mr. Andrew Parsons, President of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and Ms. Jane D. Blaine, STC Chairperson and IPC Swimming, International Paralympic Committee as well as Madame Amelia Azhar and the Ambassador.
During the dinner, the Minister briefed the guests about the preparations undertaken by the City of Kuching, Sarawak to host the World Swimming Championship 2017. A short promotional video of Kuching was also shown during the dinner.
