On 21 August 2018, the Embassy of Malaysia organised the “Rumah Terbuka” (Open house) Eidul Adha for the Malaysian Community in Mexico City. The event was also organised as a welcoming party to welcome His Excellency Ambassador Muzafar Shah Mustafa, the new Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico, who arrived in Mexico City a day before the Eidul Adha Celebration. Almost all of the Malaysian Community in Mexico City attended the event.
The Eidul Adha Celebration started with the welcoming remarks from the First Secretary/ Head of Chancery before the speech by His Excellency Ambassador Muzafar Shah Mustafa. In his speech, the Ambassador stressed on the need for the Malaysians abroad, especially in Mexico City, to keep in touch with the embassy. The Ambassador further emphasized the importance of unity amongst the Malaysian community in Mexico City.
As in any “Rumah Terbuka” in Malaysia, the guests were then treated with Hari Raya cuisines such as rendang, nasi kerabu, nasi minyak and other delicious kuih and pastries.
