On 24 November 2020, the Embassy of Malaysia made an initiative to donate several boxes of basic food necessities to the Government of Mexico and the Government of Honduras in the wake of the aftermath of Hurricane Eta. Mexico and Honduras are amongst the Latin American countries affected by the hurricanes. The donations were being channeled to the Secretariat of External Relations of Mexico and the Embassy of Honduras in Mexico, respectively.
