**Engaging Minds, Building Bridges: A Dialogue on Diplomacy **

H.E. Jamal Sharifuddin bin Johan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico, had the pleasure of an enriching and interactive session with the *"Speak Up"* English Conversation Group from **FES-Acatlán, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM)**.

Held in a welcoming and intellectually curious atmosphere, the session offered a valuable platform for open dialogue between Ambassador Jamal and the students. The Ambassador delivered a presentation on **Malaysia’s foreign policy**, outlining the nation’s guiding principles of **neutrality, peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and regional cooperation**, particularly through its role in **ASEAN** and the broader international community.

What made this session especially engaging was the **enthusiastic participation of the students**, who came prepared with thoughtful questions and a genuine curiosity to learn more about Malaysia’s global outlook. From questions on diplomatic strategies to discussions on education and cultural ties, the conversation covered a wide range of topics that reflected the group’s dynamic interest in international affairs.

Ambassador Jamal emphasised Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to multilateralism, sustainable development, and constructive diplomacy, while also sharing personal anecdotes from his diplomatic journey to encourage and inspire the students to explore global perspectives.

The event not only served as a window into Malaysia’s foreign policy but also reinforced the importance of youth engagement in diplomacy and international dialogue. It was heartening to see young minds so eager to connect, understand, and contribute to the global conversation.

Thank you to the *Speak Up* group for their active participation. These conversations are vital for fostering **mutual understanding, intercultural appreciation, and lasting friendships** between nations.
