30 August 2017 1 views

In conjunction with Malaysia´s 60th National Day in August 2017, Madam Amelia Azhar, the Ambassador and son, Muhammad Danial together with the Embassy`s staff and family members gathered at the Monumento a la Revolución about 7 km from the Chancery for a photo shoot session.  In a show of patriotism during the session, the Jalur Gemilang was proudly waved taking on the challenge of the Star Malaysia newspaper.

The Monument to the Revolution (Spanish: Monumento a la Revolución) is a landmark monument commemorating the Mexican Revolution.  Located in Plaza de la República, at the heart of downtown Mexico City in between thoroughfares Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida de los Insurgentes, it stood at 67 metres considered as the tallest triumphal arch in the world.  The structure also functions as a mausoleum for several Mexican Revolution heroes of 1910, such as Francisco "Pancho" Villa, Francisco I. Madero, Plutarco Elías Calles, Venustiano Carranza and Lázaro Cárdenas.

The Embassy would like to take this opportunity to extend its congratulations to all Malaysians wherever they are for the auspicious occasion of the 60th National Day. We Malaysians are steadfastly united as 1Malaysia Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa!
