FOSTERING ACADEMIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN MALAYSIA AND MEXICO

On 16 June 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico had the pleasure of receiving Mr. Jorge García Najera, Deputy Director of Liaison at the Technológico de Estudios Superiores de Chimalhuacán (TESCHI), a prominent public higher education institution in the State of Mexico specialising in technological and engineering programmes.
The courtesy visit aimed to establish closer ties between TESCHI and the Embassy and explore avenues for academic collaboration with Malaysian universities. Key areas of interest included student mobility, faculty exchange, and technological cooperation.
Mr. Hardi Hamdin, Minister Counsellor, welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to expanding higher education partnerships in Mexico. The discussion reflected Malaysia’s broader efforts to strengthen bilateral ties in science, technology, and innovation, and to promote the country as a hub for international academic mobility.
