JOINT STATEMENT: ASEAN-GCC-China Summit

The Embassy of Malaysia is proud to share the Joint Statement of the first-ever Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), and the People’s Republic of China, held in Kuala Lumpur on 27 May 2025.
This historic trilateral summit marked a major step forward in enhancing dialogue and cooperation between three of the world’s most dynamic regions. Leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace, security, stability and prosperity.
The Joint Statement reflects a shared vision for inclusive and sustainable development, anchored in mutual respect and international cooperation. Leaders also discussed key geopolitical concerns, including the situations in the Middle East and Palestine, underscoring the importance of peace and humanitarian efforts.
Malaysia is honoured to have played host to this groundbreaking dialogue, and remains fully committed to deepening multilateral engagement for a more resilient and connected future.
