Malaysia Airlines officially marked the launch of our partnership with Mumbai Indians at Jio World Garden, Mumbai,India. Marking the occasion, our co-branded Wau took to the Mumbai skyline, serving as an emblem of pride, connection, and new journeys ahead.
This collaboration marks a meaningful milestone that celebrates the Malaysia–India connection and brings together two brands united by belief, performance, and purpose. This partnership also connects Malaysia Airlines with an estimated 2.5 billion cricket fans worldwide by taking our Malaysian Hospitality into one of the world’s biggest sporting communities, on the ground, in the air, and across borders.
The launch ceremony was graced by Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), and Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer, Airlines Business of MAG. Representing Mumbai Indians were B Srinivasan, President and Chief of Staff of Reliance Industries Limited, Devang Bhimjyani, Head of Reliance Sports and Lifestyle, Rahul Sanghvi, Director of Cricket, Mahela Jayawardene, Head Coach of the team and Harbhajan Singh, Mumbai Indians Legend.
