Malaysia and Qatar Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

The Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico City is pleased to share that YBhg. Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, met with H.E. Dr. Ahmad Hassen Al-Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, on 9 May 2025.
During the meeting, both Secretaries General discussed efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations between Malaysia and Qatar across key sectors — including trade and investment, energy, high technology, and sports.
They also exchanged views on opportunities for collaboration on regional and international issues of mutual interest, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to global cooperation and multilateralism.
To conclude the fruitful discussions, Dato’ Sri Amran hosted H.E. Dr. Ahmad Hassen Al-Hammadi to a luncheon, reaffirming the warm and friendly ties between Malaysia and Qatar.
