MALAYSIA ENGAGES MEXICO’S TOP BUSINESS COUNCIL TO STRENGTHEN DIGITAL AND TRADE TIES

On 13 June 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico, together with MATRADE and MDEC, held a meeting with the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE), Mexico’s leading business chamber, at its headquarters in Mexico City.
The session served as a platform to promote trade, explore business partnerships, and introduce MDEC’s pivotal role in driving Malaysia’s digital economy and smart city development agenda.
Representing the Embassy was Mr. Hardi Hamdin, Minister Counsellor, alongside Mr. Syed Sahibulbahri, Trade Counsellor of MATRADE Mexico City, who highlighted Malaysia’s trade facilitation efforts. MDEC was represented by Mr. Nizam Rosli, Digital Alliance Lead, and Ts. Tengku Azrul Tengku Azhar, Director of Digital Regulatory & Sustainability. The CCE delegation included its Vice President and representatives from various business chambers.
The meeting reflects Malaysia’s growing commitment to expanding economic and digital cooperation with Mexico, and to positioning Malaysia as a strategic partner in innovation, trade, and sustainable development.
